A brand new playground for Tokoiti Primary School

There's a whole lot more climbing, swinging and generally having fun at the Tokoiti Primary School, thanks to the construction of a brand-new playground.

The new facility means a lot to the pupils, staff and families. The families had been fundraising for some time for an additional playground at the school, so a $4,000 contribution from the Otago Community Trust for landscaping and play equipment made the world of difference. And children at the tiny 38-pupil school on the outskirts of Milton have been very involved in the process and made it their own, contributing their ideas for equipment, and helping to spread the woodchip and add the finishing touches. The result is a fun and challenging environment appreciated by all.
